Experiences and Opportunities
Gaining real-world experience is one of the best ways to build your skills, strengthen your resume, and prepare compelling stories to share in future interviews. These are hands-on, practical situations where you apply what you’ve learned and they can come from internships, externships, volunteering, case competitions, research projects, and more.
Every experience you take on can be added to your resume to show employers your technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and teamwork experience. Below, you’ll find both on-campus and off-campus opportunities at NAU to help you start building your portfolio of experiences.
You can also meet with an SCE Career Jack to explore ways to highlight your experiences on your resume and practice sharing them effectively during interviews.
Have an experience you’d like to share? We’d love to hear about what you’re working on — tell us your story!
