Job Title: Project Development Intern
Reports to: Project Development Manager / Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Development Intern to support our renewable energy project development team. This role provides hands-on experience in early-stage project development, including landowner outreach, site research, and market analysis. The intern will assist with identifying and advancing potential project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach to landowners via cold calling and email to introduce project opportunities
- Research and identify potential project sites using mapping tools, public records, and databases
- Gather and verify landowner contact information and property details
- Maintain and update internal tracking systems and databases for outreach efforts
- Support project development activities, including site screening and preliminary analysis
- Assist with market research and basic reporting on development opportunities
- Help prepare internal summaries, outreach materials, and presentations
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the development team
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Real Estate, Environmental Studies, or related field
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with external stakeholders
- Ability to handle high-volume outreach (phone + email) in a professional manner
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data tracking
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred
- Interest in renewable energy, land development, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with research tools, GIS/mapping platforms, or CRM systems
- Previous internship or customer-facing experience
