Software Testing Intern
*SupplyBistro | Internship*
About SupplyBistro
SupplyBistro is a technology startup building the *data, commerce, and operating platform for the food economy*. Our platform brings together SaaS, e-commerce, B2B marketplaces, data, AI, procurement, order management, and supply-chain operations to help food businesses work together more effectively.
Interns work alongside our team on a live technology platform and participate in the same Agile/Scrum processes used to plan, build, test, and release our software.
The Opportunity
The *Software Testing Intern* is a hands-on role focused on helping SupplyBistro validate that our platform works correctly for the people who use it.
You will learn how to turn requirements and user stories into test scenarios, execute functional tests, identify defects, document results, and communicate clearly with developers, product analysts, and other members of the engineering team.
*No previous software testing experience is required.* We are looking for people who are curious, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn. Students from technical and nontechnical majors can be successful in this role.
What You’ll Do
* *Execute functional tests* — Validate new features, bug fixes, and existing platform functionality across real business workflows.
* *Create test cases* — Turn user stories, acceptance criteria, designs, and business requirements into clear, repeatable test cases.
* *Identify defects* — Recognize when actual system behavior differs from expected behavior.
* *Document bugs* — Capture steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, supporting evidence, and other information developers need to investigate.
* *Perform regression testing* — Re-test important platform capabilities as the product changes.
* *Prepare test data* — Create and maintain the accounts, products, orders, suppliers, and other data needed to exercise different scenarios.
* *Validate fixes* — Confirm that corrected defects work as expected and have not introduced new issues.
* *Participate in Scrum* — Work within SupplyBistro’s sprint process and collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevSecOps, and Quality Engineering.
* *Use AI-assisted testing techniques* — Learn how AI can support test-case generation, scenario identification, and testing productivity while still applying human judgment.

What Makes This Internship Different
You will not be testing hypothetical classroom exercises. You will work with a growing software platform and see how requirements move from product planning through development, testing, release, and production.
As you develop your skills, you can take on increasingly complex testing assignments and gain exposure to other disciplines within software delivery.
## Internship Structure
This is an *unpaid learning opportunity* designed for students and early-career professionals seeking practical experience in a technology startup environment.
We recognize that interns are students first. *School comes first*, and we work to structure internship responsibilities around academic commitments whenever possible.
SupplyBistro internships emphasize hands-on learning, mentorship, real project experience, and exposure to professional software-development practices.
