Audio Engineering Club of Northern Arizona

Student Clubs

The Audio Engineering Club is a student run organization that aims to provide its members with a hands on, real world experience in several different disciplines of the audio industry. AEC members will participate in and host events both at NAU and across Northern Arizona where they can learn, meet, network, and work with local professionals involved in the audio engineering. The club will function around three primary principles as listed below:

  1. To connect AEC members with the faculty, staff, and other students of Northern Arizona University, as well as with professionals and community members involved in audio engineering across Northern Arizona.
  2. To function as an interdisciplinary, collaborative, and inclusive bridge between STEM and creative fields as they relate to audio engineering.
  3. To serve as a resource available to Northern Arizona for audio-related tasks that align with at least one of the audio engineering disciplines included within AEC.

There are several committees within the club that help to focus member interest and maximize the experiences available to members. These committees each focus on a different area of audio engineering and include:

  • Studio Production and Recording
  • Live Sound and Event Production
  • Audio Technology Engineering and Development

This organization is targeted toward individuals interested in, or looking to pursue a career in audio, sound, or music, and strives provide experiences and skill sets that will give members a head start in their life and career.
